What are pallet collars for pallets?

Pallet collars are separate elements that are placed on the edge of the pallet deck. They convert a pallet into a removable box construction. The walls of the pallet collar are usually hinged, allowing the collar to be folded when empty for efficient transport and storage. Pallet collars enable goods to be stacked and stored on a pallet more safely and securely. By using pallet collars, damage and loss of goods during transport are significantly reduced.

How are our pallet collars used?

Pallet collars have the same dimensions as the pallet for which they are intended. They are placed directly onto the pallet and folded or collapsed after use. Foldable pallet collars are removed and folded, while collapsible pallet collars are collapsed and then stacked. Foldable pallet collars with 6 hinges fold back to the pallet length (1200 mm). Foldable pallet collars with 4 hinges are longer than the pallet length when folded and therefore protrude.

When pallet collars are placed on a pallet, it can be filled with loose goods without requiring additional outer packaging. The unit can then be covered with a pallet lid. Ready for shipment or storage.
