The new Magnum Optimum

The new MAGNUM Optimum box is a so-called FLC – a Foldable Large Container. The MAGNUM Optimum complies with all European regulations for FLC systems. Compared to other FLCs, however, the Magnum Optimum has significantly improved product features.

The new MAGNUM Optimum replaces the MAGNUM Classic and other foldable pallet boxes. This new MAGNUM Optimum box is stronger, lighter, and more hygienic than its predecessor and alternatives. In addition, the MAGNUM Optimum has a larger usable volume than its predecessor and any other foldable pallet box. The new MAGNUM Optimum is available in sizes 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm – in various heights.

It starts with the base

The foundation of the MAGNUM Optimum is a base that is stackable with other foldable pallet boxes and standard rim-stackable pallet boxes. Therefore, mutual stacking is no problem.

In addition, the base is suitable for both bulk and piece goods, for applications with special product trays as well as for versions in which the box is internally equipped with compartments made of textile.

The foldable walls

The walls of the MAGNUM Optimum box are foldable – starting with the short sides. Very robust hinges do the work here. The walls are available in different heights. MAGNUM Optimum boxes are equipped with 2 hinged loading flaps in the walls; one on the long side and one on the short side. This lowering of the lifting threshold is particularly effective.

For more volume, MAGNUM Optimum boxes can be raised with an Optiframe. This raising set is placed between the base and the foldable walls. This increases the usable height and capacity.

The Optiframe raising set

An Optiframe raising set consists of 2 parts, which together form a frame. This frame is placed between the pallet base and the foldable side walls. Each frame increases the height of the MAGNUM box by 105 mm. The MAGNUM Optimum can be raised with up to 3 Optiframes. The color of the Optiframes is light blue.

Applications

MAGNUM Optimum boxes are primarily used where space saving is essential: both during return transport and empty storage. Major users include the automotive sector and the entire supply chain. In line with that, general logistics is also an industry that has been using the box for years. In addition, the food industry and, for example, the pharmaceutical sector are familiar users. They then use liners to completely protect the contents.

  • Hygienic and easy to clean: The reinforcement ribs are integrated into the double-wall construction of the MAGNUM Optimum. The smooth interior and exterior of the walls are very easy to clean. Even the 1200 x 800 mm version has a completely smooth base. This is optimal for hygiene.
  • User-friendly loading flaps: Because there is a hinged loading flap on one long side and one short side, cargo can be easily loaded and unloaded.
  • Forklift handling: MAGNUM Optimum boxes can also be transported with the loading flap open, as the flap does not block the pallet base entry points. The lower variants of the MAGNUM Optimum have sliding doors on both long sides.
  • Drainage holes and pallet runners: The base of the MAGNUM Optimum is standard equipped with drainage holes and 2 or 3 pallet runners.
  • Fuel savings and CO₂ reduction: The MAGNUM Optimum has the highest possible folding ratio, resulting in the lowest fuel consumption during return transport, which also reduces CO₂ emissions. Its low empty weight provides additional CO₂ reduction during transport.
  • Repair: Damaged walls and broken pallet runners are easy to replace. Walls even without tools, and runners via a simple bayonet lock.
  • Loading: The maximum load capacities are shown in the accompanying illustration; both when loaded and empty, as well as during transport and static. This information is available on all our MAGNUM Optimum boxes, making it very user-friendly.
