The construction

This large-format pallet box is injection-moulded in one piece, with the box and base forming a single unit. That is a technical achievement in itself, but it also has a very practical reason. Its large 1000 liter capacity requires an exceptionally robust construction, especially when the box is used intensively in logistics, on roller conveyors and in automated systems. Bent pallet skids, or even worse, pallet skids coming loose, are disastrous in such situations. Thanks to its construction, the CB3 High does not suffer from these problems.

The removable wall

The removable wall in this version is custom-made. The height of the removable section is variable, as is the way it is removed. The version shown here has a wall secured with stainless steel toggle latches and, once unlocked, it can be removed forwards. The wall panel measures 810 x 850 mm (w x h). This leaves a minimum lifting threshold of 133 mm. Such a version works perfectly when large products need to be taken out of the box easily.

Logistics

Pallet boxes used in manufacturing companies or in logistics are exposed to heavy use in practice. Forklift transport and chain conveyors in particular are challenging. The CB3 High is well equipped for both applications. First of all, there is a robust ribbed structure above the entry openings, all around the box. This structure acts as a buffer zone to prevent impact damage from internal transport equipment, and it works very effectively. In addition, the thick-walled pallet skids are connected to the entire box construction with a generous radius. As a result, CB3 High boxes can be stacked up to 5 high, each with a load of 1000 kg. Finally, the base is fitted with a heavy-duty ribbed structure. Altogether, these features provide a solid foundation for the most demanding logistics conditions.

Its versatility

The CB3 High is primarily intended for heavy loads and for use with bulk goods. This large-volume box has the perfect dimensions for that: the industrial size 1200 x 1000 mm and a height of 1140 mm. Because of its height, the boxes can easily be stacked 2 high in most lorries. Thanks to the positive experience with this large-volume box, the CB3 High is now available in various versions. Custom-made versions with a funnel base and DUO boxes are good examples of this. Because the box is designed as a durable load carrier with a long service life, the CB3 High is equipped with mounts for RFID transponders for tracking & tracing.
