The KUBO plastic box is a pallet box with a mission ... to provide a good alternative to the heavy metal Deutsche Bahn DB Europool mesh container "Gitterbox".

The construction
The KUBO is based on the dimensions of the existing standardised metal mesh containers. Mutual stackability is the starting point. That is why the base is built identically and can be entered from 4 sides. The upper section is made in one piece and has a closed design for optimum protection of the contents. Above the entry openings, a buffer zone with vertical ribs is fitted all around the box - as an impact zone to withstand collisions with, for example, forklifts. Directly above the entry openings on the long side, an additional metal angle profile is fitted as extra protection. To guarantee the intended load capacity of 1000 kg, five metal inserts are fitted underneath the base. The result is an extremely solid plastic box with a high load capacity and a long service life.

The advantages
The most tangible advantage is the smooth-walled construction of the inside of the KUBO. This allows the contents to be transported and stored without disruption and without damage. Because the plastic is corrosion-free, it stays that way. Thanks to the use of plastic, the KUBO is also almost 10 kg lighter than a standard metal mesh box, and even 20 kg lighter than the DB Europool Gridbox (Gitterbox). And that while the load capacity and stacking load are identical to the standard mesh container or Gridbox. In addition, the KUBO is closed on all sides, easy to clean and easy to dry. This also ensures gentler handling of the load, reducing product losses.

Applications
The KUBO is, of course, fully compatible and stackable with standard metal mesh boxes (Gitterboxen). It can also be used without disruption in all common internal transport systems and automated installations.
